Historic Triple B Ranch - How Do We Compare to a Dude Ranch?

Historic Historic Triple B Ranch wants to ensure our guests have a memorable vacation that lives up to each visitors’ expectation; therefore, we like to make sure our guests understand what options we offer and how we are different than traditional dude ranches.

Historic Triple B Ranch's Beartrap Cabin

Dude ranches typically have certain days of the week that guests must arrive on and they must stay for a certain amount of time. For example, a dude ranch may have a Sunday check in day and require that its guests stay for 7 days.  Typically, there is no flexibility when it comes to these things.

Historic Triple B Ranch offers 7 day packages, but there is no required check in day and if you can only stay 5 days, we will allow our guests to customize their 7 day package down to that.Or you don’t even have to purchase one of our packages – you can just do cabin rental! Dude ranches schedule all activities for their guests and most all of the activities take place onsite at the ranch.

What’s great about this is that there is no stress in planning daily activities; however, there is very little flexibility and guests often don’t get to experience Colorado outside of the dude ranch they have chosen.  Where Historic Triple B Ranch has tried to be different is in the aspect of flexibility.

Guests can come on our all-inclusive vacation package or as cabin rental only (we even allow people to visit the ranch on a day pass!) If you like the idea of having your vacation all scheduled out for you in advance, our all-inclusive package does that.  We set up and take care of breakfast and dinner, set the times for the unlimited horseback riding, and book reservations for the 2-3 different off-site activities (such as white water rafting, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, and more) that our guest choose for themselves!  We’ve found this option allows our guests to expand getting the true ranch experience to the all around Colorado ranch experience!

A Triple B Ranch trail ride

Dude ranches are accessible only by their lodging guests and they do not allow horseback riding for the public.Historic Triple B Ranch differs in this by that we do allow people to come just for a horseback ride or by purchasing an activity pass which allows people to play at the ranch just for the day!

Many dude ranches are also priced fairly high.  We try to be flexible in our pricing so that guests can book as much or as little as they want in order to keep within a reasonable budget.

We realize that dude ranches are unique and for some people, is exactly what they are looking for.  If that sounds like you, we encourage you to book your vacation at a dude ranch over coming to us.  However, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide flexibility in choices for our guests that allow our guests to customize their vacation to fit their time schedule, budget and desired activities.
